A Whole £1 Spent

Saturday's boot-sale finds. The cushion and birthday card came from one of the boxes of 'stuff' that the house clearance people have and were 50p. Then 50p for the coffee from elsewhere. - Some people have the time to price label everything they sell!

I checked the  cushion had a zip off cover and yes it had and checked the cushion pad inside was clean and didn't smell and yes it was and didn't. When I got home and took the cover off to put in the wash I found they both had M&S labels, so decent quality and just the right colours for the living room.

  5. We're soon to get house clearance people in to deal with the final load of stuff in my father's flat. It's good to know that the bits and pieces will find new homes via boot sales, and provide a little input into the economy 😀!
Well done you for spotting the cushion for less than 50p!

    1. There are more people doing house clearance at boot sales now. Boxes and boxes of all sorts - and many people rummage through them.

  8. Well done on your purchases. Glad the cushion was clean and from M&S too. I just bought one thing at the Antiques Fair last weekend and it was for ME :)

  9. Brilliant bargains, especially that cushion. We always found that pricing most of our stuff means it sells so much easier. An amazing amount of people don't like to have to ask a price. We also used to have two rummage boxes, one with 'Everything £1' and one with 'Everything 20p', then things off the table that no-one was looking at could be slipped into the boxes towards the end of the boot sale. Which made packing up at the end easier as well.

  13. Useful finds at bargain prices are always great.
A small cup of coffee at a Nero coffee shop in the US is about $5 (with tip).
That's a lovely cushion. The color match with your newly decorated living room could not be better. Great finds!

  14. A sensible idea to price everything, it saves arguing if people have "all items in basket 50p" on their table when someone might put a more pricey item in the basket to try and get it for 50p.
