...........................I have no idea.
Five minutes ago it was the wet Friday when I abandoned a book, a jigsaw and a cross stitch and now its 8 days later.
I've been mostly at home this week apart from exercise group, taking my old hoover and some other bits to the Recycling Centre and getting a haircut. I didn't need to go food shopping but had Grandchildren photos on the memory stick to print and needed a new battery for the doorbell so had a quick trip to Diss for a change.
(A new battery for the outdoor bit of the doorbell didn't make it work and I'd already tried new batteries in the indoor part, so I guess that means a new doorbell needed - bother)
As well as the short outings I finished the small cross stitch picture and got it into a card blank,
Got all my scrap book bits onto the table and filled up more pages
And read a good book
Hope you have a good weekend - I shall return Monday if I can think of something to blog about.

I have been making cross stitch cards this week. It is very relaxing
ReplyDeleteHope you got more done than my one tiny thing!
DeleteGood you were able to finish some projects, the cross stitch is lovely. I have just finished two crime novels by Mike Hollow, The Blitz Detective and The Canning Town Murder. Nothing gory ( not my thing) ,enjoyable and fairly undemanding. Sometimes that's what my brain needs.
ReplyDeletePenny
You have 8 more Mike Hollow books to enjoy - I shall be looking out for the next
DeleteThe little duck has turned out beautifully. It's definitely reading weather for me as I can't summon up the energy for anything else.
ReplyDeleteAngie
It's another grey day here - not good for encouraging much useful activity. I'm trying to think of things to blog about!
DeleteI think I've read Still Waters - I read a lot of Lorac and I know one was set there. Now I have to go back and look!
ReplyDeleteThis is the latest of her books set in Lunesdale I think
DeleteYour little card is lovely and it will make a nice gift for someone. Finally got my sewing machine out and have made two cushions so far. Catriona
ReplyDeleteThat's good going, the last sewing machine I had took me an age just to thread it up
DeleteThe new ones are so much easier, Sue, if ever you want to try again! I used to hate sewing at school as I found it hard to thread them up. I love it now, and the new machines are easy!
DeleteThat cross stitch came out great! I still have Christmas stuff to put away as I have been sick for 3 weeks and have not had enough energy to do the job. Hopefully, this weekend I can get it done. 2026 has been a rough year for me so far.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that you've not had a good January, being unwell is worse in winter
DeleteWhat? You mean we bloggers are supposed to have something to blog about!? I'm in trouble then. -Kate
ReplyDeleteNo idea where ideas will come from for next week
DeleteYour cross stich is lovely, and it will make a very nice card for someone.
ReplyDeleteWe got a light snow last night, and just enough to make the ground solidly white. No sun today. There could be more snow on the way.
I did a big grocery shop yesterday.
We're going through a week of not too cold but very grey , need some sun
DeleteYour scrapbooking looks fun! I'm in the same position with a lamp that you are with your doorbell -- it died and I tried a new light bulb in the store and it still didn't work, so I left the lamp to be repaired. Now I need to buy a new light bulb, but I may be throwing good money after bad!
ReplyDeleteI think my replacement door bell is under £10 so not too bad.
DeleteHi Sue, here's an idea for you - Morris dancing! Went to the Straw Bear festival in Whittlesey today, fascinating and fully explained on Google if anyone is interested. How this type of dancing has contined for so long puzzles me, Trish x
ReplyDeleteOften have Morris Dancers in the village - sometimes I go and watch sometimes not
DeleteYour cross stitch is lovely. I looked up E.R. Lorac as she is a new author to me. One thing it said was books with the original dust jackets can sell for thousands of pounds!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness that British Library Crime Classics decided to reprint several of her books over the last few years and the library have bought copies
DeleteIt was snowing lightly when my mother and I went into a basketball game at 2 and she was nervous about what we would find when we emerged (she once got stuck in her car overnight in a blizzard so just hates driving in snow). Luckily, it was only raining later although there may be real snow tomorrow. I love cross stitch but haven't done any lately and probably have some unfinished projects. I did buy a small one in Winchester so maybe that would be a good one to get me back in the groove. When the Olympics begin, I expect I will have many evenings of sewing as I watch.
ReplyDeleteI'd been thinking the Winter Olympics were at the tail end of 2026 so thankyou for making me look and it's Next Month! - lovely
DeleteLovely cross stitch. I keep meaning to do some, but, like you, the week seems to get away from me! Oh well, perhaps next week.
ReplyDeleteEven when I do nothing much the weeks still fly by.
DeleteThe cross stitch has turned out well, and that green mount really suits it. Time really is flying by at the moment, this week seems to have vanished.
ReplyDeleteTime has flown here, too. I can't imagine where January has gotten to, really. But I keep telling myself that spring is inching ever closer.
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch card is wonderful. I have noticed that time seems to pass so much quicker as I age.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
