These were my finds from the last (except a December special) Needham Market boot sale a couple weeks ago. I found more than I have at most of the others this year.
Everything was 50p except the jigsaw puzzle which was £3 - It's a spot the difference puzzle so will make a good blog post when I do it later. The gloves were a good find as they are what I use outside all the time and I'd got to the end of some that Col got many years ago. They are cheap enough to buy online but often in packs of a dozen - which I may not be around long enough to use!
I was pleased to find cheap Christmas wrapping paper as I'd forgotten the last lot had been used up until I was sorting through the wrapping box looking for baby paper that I thought I had. (Now a Great Aunt for the third time - a girl this time - good news)
Whoops! Made an error in the comment lol so deleted it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Great Niece.
Some nice finds at the boot sale. Do they puzzles take you long to do?
Nice to have a girl in the family the last 4 babies were all boys- 2 grandchildren and two great nephews
DeleteNew gardening gloves are always welcome (especially at that price) and a nice bright jigsaw to while the hours away is not to be sniffed at either.
ReplyDeleteWill there really be a boot sale out in the open in the middle of winter
As long as it's not raining they will hold a one-off Christmas car boot, I thought there wouldn't be many sellers last year but it was really busy and probably very chilly!
DeleteGlad to hear the latest baby is here safely. In a sad week, news of new life brings joy ❤️. I'm sure you are a great "Great Aunt"
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately they are too far away to see often
Deleteyou always get your bargains! very pretty jigsaw, I do like that one.
ReplyDeleteFingers cross the jigsaw is complete
DeleteI use the site brand gloves, mine are red, they are sold in B&Q, very tough and flexible for garden work.
ReplyDeleteI like these gloves better than what are usually called 'ladies Gardening gloves' as these are waterproof on the front and stretchy to fit well -
DeleteThe jigsaw looks fun, nice and bright, and the sort of scene we think we would like to see. The reality is rather different.
ReplyDeletePerhaps there will be snow this year
DeleteI bags of builders gloves once a year from a carboot sale. You never know what you have touched in the garden, allotment or smallholding.
ReplyDeleteVery handy when everything is wet and muddy
DeleteSome good and very timely purchases there. I use those gloves too, they are my favourite kind now.
ReplyDeleteMuch better than traditional garden gloves which get soggy
DeleteAlways nice to get good news.
ReplyDeleteExcellent finds at the car boot.
Alison in Wales x
Two great nephews and one great niece now and all too far away to see very often sadly
DeleteCongrats on the Great Niece! Hope her life is filled with much love and happiness.
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job at the boot sale, Sue! I just bought my first Christmas gift so I have to get going on that...
I must find out what I need to get for grandchildrens Christmas presents ASAP preferably
DeleteThat's a cute puzzle! What a good haul! Congratulations, auntie!
ReplyDeleteI have two great nephews on my sisters side of the family and now a great niece on Colin's sisters side. None living in Suffolk sadly
DeleteI used gloves like that just yesterday, when I clipped back the raspberry canes. I saved the canes to root, and hopefully, come spring, I will have raspberries to plant at our new house.
ReplyDeleteYour boot sale purchases are good finds. Each item can be put to good use. Congratulations on your growing family. A new great niece is lovely.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could show us your scrapbook project. I am fond of any paper crafts. Essie
