A Sneak Peek

I can't resist giving a sneaky peek at what I've been doing with the air-drying terracotta coloured  'Das' clay.

Nearly ready for the Christmas hampers. Hopefully today is  a day that neither my Sister or Sister in Law looks at the blog!

  8. Hi Sue, you know Das clay isn't waterproof don't you? You have to varnish it well for outside.

    1. I did wonder if they would need varnishing - and have a piece laid outside to see what happens to it- so thank you for the info, I shall add varnish to my shopping list.

    2. Don't mention it, I would have hated them to have disintegrated come winter, they are lovely!

  9. They look wonderful, and will be great as gifts given with a packet of seeds to match the label. Spray varnish would be good for finishing them off too. It's so quick to use for fiddly little things with a few sides.

  12. This is such a thoughtful and original gift idea! It's the kind of thing I would never make or buy for myself, but would be thrilled to bits to receive as a present :)

  14. What a super idea! Over here (New Zealand) those markers are really expensive. That would be a great gift. May I steal your idea please?

  16. They're just delightful! I'd especially love to see some boot polish or similar rubbed in & off after you've sealed them to really bring out those letters...
