    1. Very complicated to read the books in that series but easier to watch on TV. The Hawthorn series is brilliant.

  4. A new Tracy Chevalier is always good news ! I was a bit disappointed by The Single Thread but really enjoyed The Glass Maker.
And a new Ann Cleeves with Vera ? I thought the series had ended some time ago.

  5. Ooh, you are planning ahead aren't you. But it's a good idea with the library books, to get your name near the top of the list.

    1. Since the County Council took back the running of the libraries there seem far fewer copies being bought and longer waiting lists.

  6. Thank you for this, I always look forward to a new William Shaw or Ann Cleeves book whichever of their detectives they feature, although I have a soft spot for Vera. Tracy Chevalier and Rachel Hore too - lots to look forward to:)

  7. Two books you could add to your list, Theo of Golden by Allen Levi and The Names by Florence Knapp. We are reading both for my book club. Also, my recommendation this year was A Far Flung Life by M.L. Stedman.
