October Car Boot Sale Finds

Car-boot sale season is all over for another year and these were my last few purchases -  all came out of the boxes of house clearance stuff.

50p for a pack of envelopes.

50p each for almost full pack of baking parchment and small fridge/freezer bags.

£1 for 3 cards and £1 for soap

That's it!

  1. Not a bad haul!

  2. Just what you needed. The house clearance chaps round here just have furniture and ephemera, not practical kitchen stuff. I don't know what they do with that. Bin it I assume, which is a pity.

    1. There have been more and more house clearance people at the Needham Market boot sale as the year has gone on. Must be worth their while - some come from 40 miles away to sell

  3. The greetings cards look attractive and that's a bargain price. It makes me grind my teeth when I see one I like in a shop and it costs £3! I don't buy at that price.

    1. The cards were originally from a Cancer Research charity shop which we no longer have locally - sadly - as I used to get Christmas cards from them but I expect they are more than 3 for £1 now.

  4. I agree with Penny, greeting cards can be so expensive

    1. I'm lucky in finding cards at boot-sales and still make a few.

  5. I would have thought that envelopes are almost extinct now given the price of stamps. Don't buy too much it all has to be packed away.

    1. Nothing large to pack - all little things to go in with other stuff and no more boot sales now

  6. Very useful finds and envelopes are always useful for storage of little items. Catriona

    1. I made sure not to buy anything that wouldn't fit in a box. Actually didn't see anything else needed or wanted all month.

    1. A small Sunday one will be close enough to visit just a few miles - not as good as my local two here though.
There is a Huge Sunday market/boot sale that will be 16 miles away - a bit too far for every week although it's not far from several big stores for shopping.

  9. Good finds!
Hopefully the sales in your new location will be equally as good. It will be fun to explore them, good or not.

  10. All very sensible finds, and really useful. Here's to next year then, it really is the end of the season isn't it.

  11. House clearance really isn't business here and finds like those don't seem to make it into charity shops. Families absorb them or throw it into bins I guess. Charity shops are quite big business though - and something called ReUse shops - usually set up at or very near Myniciplee waste processing places (tip or dump to me - now called Refuse Transfer or Resource Recovery stations - eyeroll)
