Well, this was a good find. This is a jigsaw that I'd looked at online and thought it would be a good one to do and there it was at a midweek boot-sale last month for £2.
Four in the cupboard is plenty enough for Autumn and Winter.
Since this find I've been to three more boot sales and found............Absolutely Nothing.
Back Soon
Almost free for 1000 pieces!!
ReplyDeleteNice find!!
Some of the charity shops are charging 3 times that much now
DeleteWe're you disappointed or relieved at the ££ savings NOT to find anything?
ReplyDeleteLovely jigsaw for later on.
Resigned! It's now seems normal to find nothing!
DeleteThat's a nice one, and at a good price too.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever come away from a boot sale empty handed.
Same stuff and lots of tat, toys and clothes - easy to buy nothing
DeleteNice to have the new to you jigsaws stored away ready for winter, I need to start looking now.
ReplyDeletePenny
October, November, January and February - that will do me.
DeleteI've recently been given 4 lovely puzzles which I shall save for the autumn evenings then pass on next year.
ReplyDeleteI'm so fussy over the pictures!
DeleteWe have been given a 3D puzzle of tower bridge for Will to make.
ReplyDeleteSister in law had to glue pieces together as she built a 3D puzzle otherwise it collapsed!
DeleteOh you’ll enjoy making that Sue x
ReplyDeleteYes I think it looks a good one
DeleteThat's a lovely jigsaw but, I have to confess, I only do 500 piece ones nowadays. I'd get too frustrated with 1000 pieces ;) I've still got 3 in store for the winter months.
ReplyDeleteHouse of Puzzles do some lovely 500 piece puzzles that I wish they had in 1000 pieces
DeleteThat's a lovely jigsaw. I hope you don't mind me saying but it makes me think of Colin in his workshop. Xx
ReplyDeleteOh yes, he was always fixing something - all our stuff was second hand, old and needing repair
DeleteWhat a bargain! It's a lovely scene, too - days of yore!
ReplyDeleteI seem to prefer the nostalgic pictures rather than modern scenes
DeleteLots of interest in that picture
ReplyDeleteAlison in Devon x
Should be a good one to sort the pieces into different colours to get started
DeleteThat puzzle reminds me of my favorite show right now - The Repair Shop!
ReplyDeleteI can't watch that anymore as it makes me cry!
DeleteNow that is a lucky find ... fate perhaps. I do like those sorts of images for jigsaws but I don't have the patience, or a suitable surface, to do jigsaws any more. I came away from the only car boot sale that we have visited this year empty handed, it was most unusual for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad I bought a special lightweight puzzle board - makes things much easier
DeleteI've got that jigsaw - I absolutely loved doing it for some reason, it's lovely to put together. Hope you also enjoy it. Elaine x
ReplyDeleteI hope so too - it might be my first one for October, when the weather isn't good enough for anything else.
DeleteWhat a lucky find, Sue. I hope all the pieces are there. It's a beautiful picture. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI have to hope pieces are all there but you never know
DeleteYour winter doings all set now. That was quite a find. When I'm in the mood for a jigsaw puzzle, I borrow one from our library's collection. I've also donated some.
ReplyDeleteNice to have a plan for winter hobbies
DeleteThat puzzle looks very realistic for a farm shop in full operation. Well priced.
ReplyDeletePrices seem to increase daily. Good you are well stocked for the upcoming cold weather.
Another lovely jigsaw to add to your collection for winter. I found a brand new one in a cupboard when I was decluttering so I have that to look forward to. Catriona
