Today.....................I'm making scones (Bank Holiday/Clotted cream treat again!) planting out leeks and courgettes and getting stuck into one of my new library books.
First I have to dash up the post-box to get ED's birthday card into the post. There it was laying on the side when I went to the library van, which stops just by the post-box and there it was still laying there when I came home again!
And I must make a hair cut appointment - it really needs doing.
Full Moon tonight - The Anglo Saxons called it the Milk Moon and it's other name is The Flower Moon.
Back Tomorrow with library book photo.
Neighbour Ed gave me some leeks so I must get them chopped and in the freezer.
ReplyDeleteMilk Moon or Flower Moon - lovely names. Hope it gives me some energy, and gives buyers some extra energy for their hands to get as far as their pockets at my stand!!
After I got the tray of leek plants I remembered that last year they all got infested with leek miner critters, a new problem this century - no cure as far as I know.
DeleteFlower Moonrise around 6.20pm here. I must set an alarm so I don't forget!
ReplyDeleteIt was very bright last night here almost full
DeleteI’m just about to go shopping-will probably need a lie down by the time I am finished. Catriona
ReplyDeleteShopping isn't much fun anymore for sure
DeleteI was going to plant out my courgettes and then we had some overnight frost last week, so I'm being a good vegetable Mum and letting them live indoors for another week. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think we have frost forecast here but should be a good rain on Sunday
DeleteHow nice - scones with clotted cream

I decided it's my Bank Holiday treat!
DeleteI get produce from my younger brother's garden plot. I help by watering the plot when he is traveling so I get to help myself to what he grows. It works for both of us!
ReplyDeleteA good plan
DeleteYour scones sound delicious.
ReplyDeleteThe full moon is lovely, and it lights up my last nighttime walk with the dog.
I occasionally forget my grocery list and attempt to shop from memory.
The shop only gets bigger and a few things are forgotten.
The moon last night was mysterious, in and out of clouds. Your scones & clotted cream sound extravagant & absolutely lovely. Enjoy! DL
