I knew I would find one at a car-boot sale eventually. A very small plate stand for that very small Brambly Hedge spring display plate. Now I'm ready for March next year.
It cost me all of 20p.
Well, there might have been many seeds going out in the Men's singles early on at this years Wimbledon but three out of the four men left in the semis could have been predicted from the start.
Just have to hope Carlos Alcaraz can go on to win .
There are still two Brits in the Men's Doubles and Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewitt are through to the semis in the wheelchair doubles, hoping to defend their title.
Both those matches are today.
Back Soon
Well done on your find!
ReplyDeleteEverything is at a boot sale - eventually!
DeleteHopefully Sinner will dispatch Djokovic in the semi's, I think Sinner will beat Alcaraz this year, he is playing such a good game. I would prefer Alcaraz to do the triple.
ReplyDeleteHope you are right about Djokovic getting knocked out but ........
DeletePerseverance (and eagle eyes) pays off. Well spotted.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted at the boot sale. Hope Alcatraz wins the tournament. Catriona
ReplyDeleteGreat find!
ReplyDeleteI love plate stands. (Sometimes art gets put in those too!) Nice find!
ReplyDeleteWith just a little time, you find exactly what you want. 20p! You can't go wrong.
ReplyDeleteI'm also cheering on Alcatraz.
Completely off topic. I know that you used to meet up with Rachel periodically. Have you seen her lately? Her blog just disappeared.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Wish we had car boot sales here. Even the two big annual charity sales in our county went away around the time of covid and never returned. Most collectible and antique shops did as well. Between covid and eBay there are few options. Our big ones like Salvation Army closed years ago. Young folks are so used to just buying and binning when they tire of something and they don’t want used only new and shiny. So I do enjoy your ramblings and finds.
