On one of the rainy days last month I was watching a few youtubers - I'd been looking at Railway Cottage Rebecca - she's so enthusiastic! Anyway I popped into a vlog of someone who setting out for a charity shop 'haul'. She said "I don't want to spend much............not more than £50!" Blimey! I love a good tour round the charity shops but I've never set out to spend money, definitely Not that much!
Perhaps she was buying to resell - I suppose it's still a thing, but with postage prices and so many others doing the same thing it must be difficult to earn much. I didn't stay to the end to see what she found - it was extremely boring to watch and listen to.......as are many youtubers!
My tour round the 6 charity shops of Diss recently (there are 7 but I forgot about the Big C on my way out of town) wasn't a haul - just one thing - something that will be a Christmas present.
That was a good find. I rarely find anything worth having in CS these days, I think Vinted has done them a disservice. Gosh, yes, waffling you tubers, I’ve given up on those as well, just get to the point. Sarah Browne.
ReplyDeletePerhaps if that woman is buying vintage clothes, a £50 budget would be reasonable. I check the charity shops in Llandod, as there is someone my size who can afford to buy Seasalt clothes new and regularly has a cull!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good find. I know what you mean about being too scented. As I get older I get my tolerance for scent has declined significantly.
ReplyDeleteCan’t stand most vlogs and videos people do - especially of those who don’t edit and blather away stating the obvious “I am walking on the side of a field, the path is a bit muddy but the sun is shining” (all of which are obvious from the video) “here is a church, here are gravestones”
came home from the jumble with a huge dustbin bag of large size summer dresses , i paid pennies and those i dont want or like will go to the car boot in the summer for the vinted sellers, its the circle of selling for me .
