Gorgeous Granddaughter

Photos of  Grandson Jacob featured last week when he stayed here and to redress the balance here is Florence when we went to babysit while Youngest Daughter had a filling at the dentists

She was in happy mode and conveniently went to sleep just after daughter left and woke again about 10 minutes before she came back! An easy baby sitting job. We couldn't stay long as it was the first day since we've been here that the library van came round, had to cheat and take the car, as my bike needed pumping up and I'm also really out of cycling practice. The Mobile library stop is a mile and a half away, but completely flat and open to windy weather so not the best for biking as you have to pedal all the way. I really need to get fit again after a year in a small bungalow with shops just round the corner.

Thank you to new followers who've found me here at the end of a lane and thank you for comments too.

  4. What a joyful bundle of happiness!

My friend who lives in a flat and windy area just invested in an electric bicycle to enable her to cover greater distances rather than use the car to travel back and forth to work.

  6. Really glad you make the effort to use the mobile library van. I try to use our local van too, despite the main library being within my walking distance (1.5 miles away). However, the usage of the mobile library is always being monitored ready for cut-backs, so I take out a few books of some sort, because the service is so useful for those unable to get into town (no public transport, steep walk back from town, tricky with small kids etc etc) & once gone the service will never be replaced. Use it or lose it, unfortunately!

  11. Beautiful little Florence! I love how she's giggling away at the story book - is it one that makes sounds or is Grandma making funny sounds for her? I love story-time with my grandchildren and so happy to see that both the young ones are now avid readers. Eleanor especially, as she spends hours reading and writing stories -I keep her supplied with lined notebooks to write in and books to read.

Your grands are growing so fast but then mine are both in their teens which does not seem possible. Praying for Cols health and treatment and for you.

  21. Just adorable! Florence looks like she's laughing in the 1st picture, and there's nothing quite as delightful as a baby's laughter.
