It's a year since I came up with the idea of reading some books with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter in their titles.
This was the book that inspired the idea, and I ended up reading 6 for Spring.
Two of these I would have read anyway even if I hadn't been doing the challenge but it was good to search out the others and I enjoyed all of the books.
Then it was onto Summer titles, nine found and read in total.
.
Again there are some that I would have read anyway but others searched out for their titles and enjoyed.
In Autumn I didn't find so many, out of half a dozen borrowed I only read these two. My excuse was I was decorating the living room and nothing else appealed.
So then it was winter and there were three from the library
The Woods in Winter was the best of them
And one from my shelves
I remembered reading a book called April Snow years ago and for some reason that title stayed in my mind. About 30 years after reading it I searched out a copy and read it again. I still can't remember the story but I'm sure I enjoyed it both times! 😄
ReplyDeleteThe Greengage Summer is one of my favourites. Have you read Kingfishers Catch Fire by Rumer Godden?

Reading with the seasons is a lovely idea. Some of those books look intriguing.
ReplyDeleteOur tastes must be similar because some of your titles are ones I’ve read for my similar ‘challenge’. I’m now on the lookout for Autumn ones. Not many of those around.
ReplyDeleteThe months are a difficult one - Alan Parks (Scottish author) has a series with the month in the title about a detective Harry McCoy. Only 6 in the series (Jan to June) though…. so far. I haven’t read any of them….yet
