My New Home......At Last

Almost 6 months after having my offer accepted.........here it is.

View from front garden across the road to the newer part of the village cemetery! - At least it will never be built on.

Looks like an apple tree.

Below is the view diagonally across the back garden from one corner to the other.  And behind the trellis is where my greenhouse will go on the patio which has patio doors to living room and  also oddly patio doors to the small bedroom which previous owners used as office/hallway and back door as also - oddly - there is no back (or side) door from the kitchen (might remedy that if I can....sometime)

Greenhouse already ordered! There is a long delay due to a shortage of toughened glass which comes from Spain (who knew?)

The bit where I'm standing will probably be where the veg. beds will go.

There is  also a magnolia looking good at the moment

Now lots of things to sort out.

Back as and when

Sue

  5. At last Sue! It looks lovely. I have 5 sets of patio doors right across the back of my house. One set is in my bedroom, I have that 'just dried on the linen line ' smell whenever I want it! I love it. I hope it's everything you hope it is.

  6. So pleased for you, Sue. Looks a decent size (but manageable) garden. Now to make it your own.

  7. What a lovely garden, you will have fun. Some nice plants. We have a patio door in our bedroom but wouldn’t want to have to use it as a back door.

  21. Your bungalow looks lovely and the garden looks to be a good size - certainly big enough to put your own mark on it with a vegetable growing area etc. Now you've just got the unpacking to get through!

  33. Oh wow!! It looks amazing, what a lovely garden and with such a good selection of plants and trees for you to add to ... and much lower maintenance than you are used to as well.

We both have similar front doors and doors in two rooms leading to a patio, what a coincidence.

  35. Garden - plus greenhouse - looks just about right for you to manage Sue and it looks lovely at present and also as though it has been well looked after.
I think you are right not to alter doors, patios etc. for a while. I have lived here for four years and only six months or so ago did I alter my patio - and how I altered it was totally different from how I would have done it when I first moved in.
I hope you settle in quickly and are very happy there. I am sure you will be - after this long wait - and you are nearer to family too I believe.

  43. Oh, Sue, I'm so glad! It's lovely, and what a nice yard. I'm so glad you have some space. That is a bit odd about the back door and patio doors. Maybe you can repurpose the small bedroom into something that COULD be used for that on occasions with guests but also an "office' or hobby room or library. Then you'd feel like easy access.

  53. Good morning and best wishes from Australia. Most houses here are bungalows, and your outlook and garden look just right. We are pretty much the same age, and I have followed your adventures over the last few years and admire your strength and grace when life has been difficult. Looking forward to seeing how you make the inside your 'home'

  61. I am sharing this testimony to partners suffering in their relationships because there is an enduring solution.
My husband left me and our 2 kids for another woman for 3 years. I tried to be strong just for my kids but I could not control the pains that torment my heart. I was hurt and confused. I needed help, so I did some research on the internet and came across a site where I saw that Dr. Okolo, a spell caster, can help get lovers back. I contacted him and he did a special prayer and spells for me. To my surprises, after some days, my husband came back home. That was how we reunited again and there was a lot of love, joy and peace in the family.
