Picture Wall

I've made a start on a picture wall

This area is above the pine book shelf unit between the tall bookshelves and the patio doors out to the garden.
There were two hooks here already so I've just drilled a few more holes and put screws in and the  smallest pictures are fixed by the sticky-backed velcro-type stuff that just clicks the pictures to the wall.
Still to go up  is the unusual tile picture that I found the other day. It needs a deep frame of some sort. And there's room to add more whenever I find something small that I like.
The little tapestry bottom right is something I stitched years ago. The owl and the hare lino cuts came from an art show. All the rest came from car boot sales.....Amish Buggies, Stowmarket town centre, an old embroidered picture and two little hand coloured flower prints.

Thank you for all the comments yesterday.

Back Tomorrow
Sue

  4. Keep them close together and at different levels. I remember the ones you bought at the Eye Art show when we went. It is looking very good.

    1. Much better than having odd small pictures dotted about.
But all my bigger pics are dotted all around the bungalow where ever there was a hook.

  6. You do have some nice pictures!
I particularly like the one of the little girl with geese. It has a William Nicholson look about it.

  8. Pictures make a home so personal and interesting. I'm in the process of covering all the walls in my room with pictures - they may not look as artistically arranged as yours but every one of them makes me smile :) xx

  9. A nice collection. I've used the Velcro picture hangers too for the family photo wall. Though in this "new to us" space it's spread now between windows. There wasn't one space large enough as there was in the last two apartments. Can't complain because I'm loving the number of windows - much like the house we built in '05 and moved from in '16.

  15. You have done an excellent job of lining everything up nicely. I can't for sake of me get pictures to line up! The velcro tape sounds like something I need
