On the 7th Day after Christmas My Christmas Treat will be.......
Some Salted Cashews
The Radio TimesChoca Mocha Coffee
A New Craft to try
Chocolate Liquers
A Paperback book
And a Big Tub of Chocolates just for me.
Love cashews, daren't buy them often as I can eat them in 10 minutes flat!
I've been hopeless at commenting on other blogs recently. Apologies. One reason(excuse?) is that lots of people are posting regularly in the evenings and my laptop has already been switched off so I don't see the posts 'til next morning when it seems a bit late. And truthfully I've been watching lots of the various police crime series on catch up channels, things I didn't see when they were first on. So far I've watched all 4 series of Cardinal (Snowy Canada) Wisting (Snowy Norway) Valhalla (Snowy Iceland) and I'm now on The Bridge ( Snowy Sweden and less snowy Denmark).
If anyone has any ideas for others similar that are on the catch up channels I'd love to know.
Back Tomorrow
Sue
Baptist and of course Line of Duty. And on Netflix threes Grosch which we like.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Sue.
Thank you.Happy New Year to you too. I've seen Line of Duty. I'll look for Baptist. Don't have netflix.
DeleteI've been watching Spooks again. A Happy New Year to you. Lesley
ReplyDeleteThat's an idea - thank you. Happy New Year
DeleteHappy New Year to you, Sue. May all your adventures be both exciting and satisfying. xx
ReplyDeleteAdventures in a different village less than 4 miles away will be good - not sure about exciting!
DeleteHappy New Year
Asking the wrong person here, I don't think I have ever watched any of those crime drama shows. Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy New Year to you.
DeleteLooking forward to the new series of Spirals/Engrenages starting this weekend. French, so not a lot of snow.
ReplyDeleteI shall have a look at that see what it is.
DeleteHappy New Year
HAPPY NEW YEAR Sue.
ReplyDeleteI to have not seen a lot of the TV that you have said about, I only have a basic TV, I did watch Sue Thomas FBI for a few months she has a dog but that us finally finished now.
Hazel c uk πππ
I've seen some of those - a very clever hearing dog!
DeleteWe've been watching all-sorts - some good nature programmes and in the evening, Shameless (which is on Netflix), which makes us chortle! I'm up to date with Mountain Men, enjoying Escape to the Chateaux and have some new Mystic Britains to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteNot keen on nature programmes and can't cope with Dick Strawbridges moustache!
DeleteI'll look for Mystic Britains
Happy New Year from Brittany France, I love to read your posts all the year round. Hope 2021 keeps you safe and healthy, and the move to a new home goes on well !
ReplyDeleteMaguy
Thank you and a Happy New Year
DeleteHappy New Year Sue, and may it be a better one. I enjoy crime drama too, especially Scandi.
ReplyDeleteYou’ve reminded me to watch Valhalla. I really enjoyed Cardinal.
I thought I wouldn't like them but with nothing else interesting to watch I discovered I did after all
DeleteSorry Sue, can't help you with your snowy foreign theme. I have problems understanding people with a British accent, including my two Yorkshire brothers, so I don't watch anything foreign although some of them do look good.
ReplyDeleteI love any nut, but the MS doesn't allow me to have them due to swallowing. It is what it is.
It's strange that the things I've watched have all been knee deep in snow.
DeleteSorry you are unable to eat nuts. When I was little we always had to sit down if we had peanuts in case we choked as my mum knew someone who had
Are you into Inspector Montalbano - I love it because being deaf I enjoy the subtitles - some folk find them intrusive but the stories are so well written. He has a cult following in Sicily I believe. He is on iplayer.
ReplyDeleteOh yes thats another I want to watch -thank you for the reminder
DeleteI recently watched Wisting on BBC iPlayer. Another Norwegian one with snowy scenes.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!
Wisting was one on my list above that I've seen - lots of snow in that one
DeleteGreetings to you from Germany ... I saw The Mandalorian fra Disney with my older grandson ... we both had a lot of fun with cocoa and nuts. Wisting - Snowy Norway ... I have to look.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you Viola.
Thank you and to you
DeleteWishing you a peaceful, healthy and new and vastly improved year xx
ReplyDeleteHopefully by summer things will be better
DeleteI was going to suggest Line of Duty but I see in the comments that you have watched that. Thanks again for continuing to blog as I really look forward to your posts as they cover such a variety of interesting topics. Wishing you a happy and healthy new year and a smooth move to your new home. Vicki in the East Riding
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment and a Happy New Year to you also.
DeleteI'll keep blogging while people keep reading!
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI'm now craving cashew nuts... :)
Oooops sorry!
DeleteHappy New Year Sue.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Bridge and watched all four series of it on Catch Up tv pretty much back to back. I think Saga is just brilliant, and isn't it strange how quickly you get used to reading the subtitles after the first few minutes, and in my case singing along to the theme tune ... it's very haunting.
We are just nearing the end of season three of The Fall, the detective, serial killer series with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, we've been hooked. Although this final series is a bit more slow moving.
I love salted cashews :-)
I've just done series 1 of The Bridge although I didn't watch the last episode when I read about how it ends - I'm a wimp!
DeleteHappy New Year, every blessing.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteI can't help you out with the police programs. I am not much of a fan. However, I can wish you a happy new year!
ReplyDeleteI;ve been watching crimes on TV instead of reading - I really need to get back to my crime in books
DeleteWe had a giant bag of salted peanut. Not cashews, I know, but they disappeared rather more quickly than they should have done.
ReplyDeleteI like cashews better - typically they are more expensive - annoying
DeleteDo uou get The Blacklist with James Spader over there? It's one of our favourites. Happy New Year from that snowy Canada!!
ReplyDeleteI shall look that one up. Not heard of it -Thank you
DeleteWalla der.. Good crime drama. The British version with Kenneth Branagh is excellent. Snowy at times and remote. Happy New Year and happy viewing.
ReplyDeleteYes watched those several years ago
DeleteSorry, should be Wallander.
ReplyDeleteI can make cashews disappear fairly quickly too. ; ) Happy New Year Sue, may each day be better than the last!
ReplyDeleteLets hope 2021 is a good year
DeleteIf you can find "Trapped" especially season 1 then it's more snowy Iceland but a really good story.
ReplyDeleteLove cashews, especially salted - I know I have some unsalted ones squirelled away to use in a curry - just hope they are well hidden!
Enjoy your treats and Happy New Year.
I'll look up Trapped.
DeleteThe cashews have gone - didn't mean to but did!
We watch Midsomer Murders, Father Brown, Murder in Paradise. etc. Something light I can switch off for!
ReplyDeleteLove your treats! The shows you've watched are all good.
ReplyDeleteWallendar is very good. Waking the Dead, and Unforgotten are two I enjoyed as well.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your cashews.
God bless.
Cashews are my husband's favorite nut for sure!! Not cheap by itself, less expensive if they are in a mixed batch of other items. I drank some delicious tea this afternoon as I need more energy this afternoon. We were both up late last night. Walked "Rock" movie that had Sean Connery in it. I am glad I didn't have bad dreams at night. There were fireworks south of us that I didn't expect to see. Almost looked like what we saw on July 4th when everything was closed down. Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteWATCHED the "Rock" movies...second time I wrote something wrong and didn't check it b4 sending it....Becky
DeleteDo you like American TV series?
ReplyDeleteIf you do blue bloods is a very easy watch.
Theres also a new Canadian hospital drama "transplant "
I loved "the good doctor, lead actor is Freddie highmore who is British and played Charlie in Charlie and the chocolate factory.
I loved the series keeping faith, set in Wales.
Happier new year.
I'm no help to you. We're English tv fans - we've watched every episode of Midsomer Murders and enjoy the warmth of the Death in Paradise and Father Brown series, and of course Agatha Christie is a favourite - anything really that doesn't show too much gore or guns! I want escapism and lightness of touch. And, speaking of light - I can't be bothered with the camera-work where the screen is so dark you can't see a jolly thing!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you. May the move go smoothly and all the 'ends' get neatly tied up soon.
Warmest wishes for the new year ahead. Inspector Montalbano is a favourite of ours.
