New Years Day and the 7th Day After Christmas

 https://happynewyearzimages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/happy-new-year-2021.jpg

On the 7th Day after Christmas  My Christmas Treat will be.......

Some Salted Cashews
The Radio Times
Choca Mocha Coffee
A New Craft to try
Chocolate Liquers
A Paperback book
And a Big Tub of Chocolates just for me.

Love cashews, daren't buy them often as I can eat them in 10 minutes flat!

I've been hopeless at commenting on other blogs recently. Apologies. One reason(excuse?) is that lots of people are posting regularly in the evenings and my laptop has already been switched off so I don't see the posts 'til next morning when it seems a bit late. And truthfully I've been watching lots of the various police crime series on catch up channels, things I didn't see when they were first on. So far I've watched all 4 series of Cardinal (Snowy Canada) Wisting (Snowy Norway) Valhalla (Snowy Iceland) and I'm now on The Bridge ( Snowy Sweden and less snowy Denmark).
If anyone has any ideas for others similar that are on the catch up channels I'd love to know.

Back Tomorrow
Sue

  7. We've been watching all-sorts - some good nature programmes and in the evening, Shameless (which is on Netflix), which makes us chortle! I'm up to date with Mountain Men, enjoying Escape to the Chateaux and have some new Mystic Britains to enjoy.

  10. Sorry Sue, can't help you with your snowy foreign theme. I have problems understanding people with a British accent, including my two Yorkshire brothers, so I don't watch anything foreign although some of them do look good.

I love any nut, but the MS doesn't allow me to have them due to swallowing. It is what it is.

    1. It's strange that the things I've watched have all been knee deep in snow.
Sorry you are unable to eat nuts. When I was little we always had to sit down if we had peanuts in case we choked as my mum knew someone who had

  11. Are you into Inspector Montalbano - I love it because being deaf I enjoy the subtitles - some folk find them intrusive but the stories are so well written. He has a cult following in Sicily I believe. He is on iplayer.

  17. Happy New Year Sue.

I loved the Bridge and watched all four series of it on Catch Up tv pretty much back to back. I think Saga is just brilliant, and isn't it strange how quickly you get used to reading the subtitles after the first few minutes, and in my case singing along to the theme tune ... it's very haunting.

We are just nearing the end of season three of The Fall, the detective, serial killer series with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, we've been hooked. Although this final series is a bit more slow moving.

    I love salted cashews :-)

If you can find "Trapped" especially season 1 then it's more snowy Iceland but a really good story.
Love cashews, especially salted - I know I have some unsalted ones squirelled away to use in a curry - just hope they are well hidden!
Enjoy your treats and Happy New Year.

  27. Cashews are my husband's favorite nut for sure!! Not cheap by itself, less expensive if they are in a mixed batch of other items. I drank some delicious tea this afternoon as I need more energy this afternoon. We were both up late last night. Walked "Rock" movie that had Sean Connery in it. I am glad I didn't have bad dreams at night. There were fireworks south of us that I didn't expect to see. Almost looked like what we saw on July 4th when everything was closed down. Happy New Year!!!

  28. Do you like American TV series?
If you do blue bloods is a very easy watch.
Theres also a new Canadian hospital drama "transplant "
I loved "the good doctor, lead actor is Freddie highmore who is British and played Charlie in Charlie and the chocolate factory.
I loved the series keeping faith, set in Wales.

    Happier new year.

  29. I'm no help to you. We're English tv fans - we've watched every episode of Midsomer Murders and enjoy the warmth of the Death in Paradise and Father Brown series, and of course Agatha Christie is a favourite - anything really that doesn't show too much gore or guns! I want escapism and lightness of touch. And, speaking of light - I can't be bothered with the camera-work where the screen is so dark you can't see a jolly thing!

Happy New Year to you. May the move go smoothly and all the 'ends' get neatly tied up soon.

  30. Warmest wishes for the new year ahead. Inspector Montalbano is a favourite of ours.
