........................ my radishes!
Just big enough to pull for my salad but they've been spoiled by mice, slugs or birds. They didn't go to waste as I cut off the manky bits and ate the middles. Now how to protect the rest of the row?

How annoying!
ReplyDeleterotten radish raiders. x
ReplyDeleteI guess this new garden will be a learning curve regarding its pesky creatures.
ReplyDeleteLooks irritatingly familiar ~ I've always thought slugs, but could be mice.
ReplyDeleteThis is precisely why we stopped ever growing radishes.
ReplyDeleteOoooh the little blighters-x-
ReplyDeleteNight patrol with a torch to catch the slugs & snails in action is the only solution here as they are getting very active in the warmer weather.
ReplyDeletejust found something nibbling the leaves on my radish seedlings too, and they are on top of a table!
ReplyDeleteThat's so annoying. There's always something waiting to get to lovely home grown veg before we get the chance to harvest it.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Hope you discover the culprit! We had deer and rabbits munching on our garden produce last year. So discouraging.
ReplyDeleteI think the birds are desperate for moisture too. I've put water out for them so they leave my plants alone! Like you I wouldn't be deterred.
ReplyDeleteErrr....cat or shotgun? x
ReplyDeleteoh no! I hate that. Something is attacking my courgettes.
ReplyDeleteWe've had similar and I don't know what it is, but something is getting in my cold frame too
ReplyDeleteI've resorted to slug pellets :-(
ReplyDeleteHave you spotted Peter Rabbit in his blue jacket in your garden?!
