Last Sunday morning was a bit dull and quite windy so I wasn't sure how many people would be selling but it was much busier than the week before.
I walked past all the tons of clothes, ornaments, toys and junk - and only spent £1 each on two things. A set of alphabet stamps in the box and numbers and punctuation loose - something I've never owned despite making cards for years and a brand new thing which I call a wheat bag but here it is a "Soothing Body Wrap" which will make a Christmas present for someone.
Then home for breakfast.
Back Tomorrow
Sue
I often see new things being resold on our facebook pages, which I say every time, why do some people so quickly buy things and not use them. I am a member of a coupon and bargains group, and often someone will post of something on sale and all the ' I want one' comments drive me crazy. On the flip it does mean we can get a few good bargains on out hunt.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad some people do get rid of new stuff - saves me a fortune!
DeleteThose alphabet stamps will be very useful, I am sure.
ReplyDeleteI thought they might come in handy for the grandchildren as I'm not making cards much and £1 isn't too bad for a might come in handy thing
DeleteI could do with one of those wheat bags right now! I think I must have slept awkwardly as I have a lovely stiff neck.
ReplyDeleteI've had one for years and it's really handy if I've been in a draught or driven with the window open too much and get a stiff neck
DeleteMy GD brought be a wheat bag and it's so useful on my back sometimes. The GC will enjoy the stamps.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the strong winds hope you have not had any damage.?
Hazel c uk πππ
No damage from the windy weather thankfully except for waking me up several times through the night
Deletei toddled off Sunday morning to get some veg all i bought was a bag of new plant pots ..lol
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me I MUST get my pots all washed before the weather gets any colder as I do them outside in a water butt. A huge heap waiting
DeleteA couple of good buys, it's good to only pick up what will be useful or make good gifts. Some folk do just buy things because they are cheap, or maybe they just love clutter.
ReplyDeleteI do wonder if people ever sell all the stuff they carefully lay out on their tables week after week. It would bore me silly doing that every time
DeleteA case of the early bird catching the worm Sue.
ReplyDeleteI still can't get up early enough to beat the dozens who are there before me!
DeleteYou may not have gotten much but you did find a couple of excellent buys! Plus you got out of the house for a bit of fresh air and a walk.
ReplyDeleteGetting out for an early Sunday walk round always makes me feel better.
DeleteBrilliant buys and free fresh air. Wonderful x
ReplyDeleteTHe fun of looking for hidden treasure!
Delete"Someone" will like the wheat bag!
ReplyDeleteI hope so
DeleteI've never been to car boot, probably as I don't have a car
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to have a car to look round a car boot sale!
DeleteHow do you follow you? Can't seem to figure out if I click on something.
