Yes.
They were on my list of things to look out for at boot-sales so when I found some I bought them.
The Merry Christmas window clingy thingy was in the box with the crackers, which had 10 in out of a possible 12. Also from the same house clearance people I found two more clay saucers and a pack of greaseproof paper. Gave £3 for those and the things for grandchildren were 50p each.
How's the list looking after a few weeks?
Birthday cards that have granddaughter/grandson and an age
Interesting looking books
Herb plants - cheap sage and parsley
Few plants for the plant stand (lost two over winter)✔ + clay saucers after the crash✔
Metal Dustbin ✔
Duplo for middle grandson (now has enough)
Lego for oldest Grandson
Barbie sized dolls clothes✔
Possible Christmas gifts
Raffle prize for WI
Cheap New Funnel
Christmas Crackers✔
You never know.................. I might get to the end of the list before the end of the season.
You are very good sticking to your list, and I'm glad you found some more things from it. I have found out a closer car boot sale than Madley - in Clyro, near Hay, 1st Sunday of each month.
ReplyDeleteI'm being good and not buying craft stuff or anything that needs dusting!
DeleteNothing like having a good rummage through a clearance! x
ReplyDeleteGoodness knows what they do with all the unsold junk - into landfill I guess
DeleteIt's never to early to buy a bargain, so pleased you got another saucer. My daughter is hoping to go to the big carboot at Peterborough at the weekend. We don't have many round here.

My plant stand is fully equipped and looking good for summer again
DeleteYou always manage to find bargains! I have no doubt there will be more ticks off the list next time too ๐
ReplyDeleteThey have to be a bargain or I would leave them where they are!
DeleteI'm sure you will find all you want in the end. I used to do the same thing, make a list and I eventually found what I was looking for. I miss the car boots so much now that we can't get round them.

Hope I find some things for gifts - they are the best money savers
DeleteSometimes crackers can be a forgotten item at Christmas until the last minute, then it becomes a rush, so well done for being ahead of the game.
ReplyDeleteI nearly always find some during the year without needing to buy new in December
DeleteIt is good to have a shopping list isn't it, at the very least it focusses your mind on what you need and any little extras you find are purely a treat. You're doing really well crossing off so many things so early in the season.
ReplyDeleteIt will be several days until I get to another car boot as visitors will be here plus there is no diesel anywhere at the moment so daren't go far
DeleteMy daughter hosts Christmas and we do the crackers every year the kids love them. I am in the US so not many people do.

I still think there is an opening there for someone to import them and promote and sell and make a fortune!
DeleteYou are a great shopper.
ReplyDeleteThank you - love a good bargain
DeleteLucky you! You have a good eye for finding the bargains! Always a treat when you get lucky like that!
ReplyDeleteCricky you're early for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your regular boot sales and finds.
ReplyDeleteYou're found nearly 50% and it's only April. Very impressive.
ReplyDeleteI just know you will get the list finished by the end of the season. You are doing great.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You know, that is something that never would have occurred to me. Make a list.
ReplyDeleteNice finds! At this rate you might be well stocked by Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI need to make the same sort of list. I believe in stocking up early. Thank you for the inspiration.
