Scouring ebay for bundles of games and crafting things for grandchildren I happened upon a huge job lot of mixed Craft kits mainly for grown ups but including some that I could keep for the grandchildren. I was intrigued, it was the sort of thing I used to find at boot sales years ago - boxes of mixed treasures of card making stuff which I would spend happy hours sorting through and organising.
I dithered - after all I cleared out lots of crafting stuff last year, things I didn't want to do again, but the auction was nearly ended, the box had 40 different things, just over 50p each, several items were cross stitch kits and having settled into this new stay-at-home normal I'll have time to try something different.
I waited. I bid. I won.
The box arrived.................I'll show you what's inside next week and find out if it was worth buying.................or not!
Back Tomorrow
Sue
whatever's inside there's going to be at a least a few good things if it has card making kits - they are going to save you money in the long run. How exciting to have such a big box full of surprises to explore.
ReplyDeleteIt was funto unpack - some useful, some not so
DeleteOoooh - exciting. What a great purchase. I'm really looking forward to the gradual reveal.

I took 10 photos Should I stretch it out over 10 posts - that is the question?
DeleteIt's like opening a treasure chest isn't it? F bought a box of stamping things off ebay years ago and received nearly 100 stamps, dozens of stamp pads in loads of colours. She kept half a dozen she wanted for hand decorating Xmas paper and her friends at work quickly snapped up the rest.
ReplyDeleteebay prices have gone up a lot during lockdown - all due to frustrated car booters like me I reckon!
DeleteIt's like Christmas again, I am sure there will be some exciting little treasure. Look forward to next week. πππ. Hazel c uk
ReplyDeleteOne or two good things - some not so good
DeleteGood for you Sue! I have been buying things on ebay recently. I can’t wait to see what is inside... ‘Open the box!’ Remember that?
ReplyDeleteLX
Was that the one with the Yes/No Interlude?
DeleteMichael Miles.
DeleteI thought it was Hughie Green?

Thinking even harder I think you’re right Rachel...

whichever it was it scared me - think there was a big gong?
DeleteDouble Your Money was Hughie Green. Take Your Pick - Open the Box - had the gong, yes Sue.
DeleteOooh - that looks exciting and in these new no-car-boot-sale-bargains times a gal needs something to look forward to and cheer her up. (Which reminds me, I must list the crafting books and magazines I have on one side here now I can't even take them to the charity shop.)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you got in your box!
A heap of stuff! I'm So bad!
DeleteLove things like that. Can't wait to see the contents.
ReplyDeletenext week............
DeleteWonderful! There would be treasures indeed in amongst 40 items.
ReplyDeleteSort of treasure - not going to make me a fortune!
DeleteYou teaser! Raps fingers on table in anticipation.
ReplyDeleteHa! I have to fill lots of blog posts!
DeleteThe new online car boot sale of the future? Exciting! x
ReplyDeleteSome will be going into a boot sale if they ever come back
DeleteI can't wait to see what's inside, quite exciting. Helen S.
ReplyDeleteDon't get too excited!
DeleteOoh ... I used to buy a lot of job lots when I had my shop. Some things would go into the shop and others would be sold at car boot sales. My weirdest but most profitable job lot was 330 new door mats, with pictures of dogs, cats and flowers on them. Bought at a cost of 30p each and sold at £3 each or 2 for £5. The funniest thing was that I had to phone Alan and get him to pick them up from Birmingham on his way home from Berkshire to Cumbria. When he got home his estate car was full to the roof with door mats just the drivers seat was clear. Luckily he saw the funny side!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you've got in your box. I bet you had great fun unpacking it :-)
Just the sort of thing I would do! The places the man has been to pick up things I got carried away buying, you just wouldn’t believe!

Colin always fancied buying and selling - like The Darling Buds of May - but it never seemed to work for us.
DeleteTalk about being left on the brink. Do we have to wait until next week to find out what is in there??
ReplyDeleteYes. Definitely. Like the ending of a soap! :-)
DeleteSue ... you are so cruel. Even worse than me ;-)
DeleteHow exciting! Isn't it fun to dig through and sort a box like that?! I'm looking forward to seeing what you bought.
ReplyDeleteAll sorts of bits and bobs in there
DeleteOoh, how exciting! Hope it was worth the cost. Can't wait for the reveal.
ReplyDeleteIt's debatable about the cost!
DeleteGreat find ... looking forward to seeing what treasures the box holds.
ReplyDeleteHappy crafting!
Have a lovely weekend
Ohhhh, I can't wait to see the treasures you have gotten.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Sounds like a good find. Looking forward to your photos. 10 in a post is fine. Some thrift stores are opening soon. One I give to in a couple weeks. Donation part is open. Enjoy your weekend.
