Stowmarket Church had an Easter Cross Festival again. I met my friend from Grammar School days for a coffee at the Osier cafe in church and then took a few photos. I don't think there were as many crosses as last year and apologies as photos aren't very good I'm afraid but never mind.
So for Good Friday just a few of the crosses made by various local groups and schools - oh dear to the big spelling mistake!
I might pop in to blog over Easter depending on what family things we do. Hope you have a good Easter break.
Back soon-ish
Sue

The crosses are varied showing lots of creativity and devotion. Thank you for sharing. I'm not aware of a similar festival in the US. Many churches have a sunrise service usually outside and also an Easter egg hunt on the church grounds for children.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend and enjoy your family gathering.
I will be preparing a roast for family and friends.
Was there a cross done up with currency?
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Sue. Xx

ReplyDeleteThere are some very imaginative crosses there. Perhaps the spelling mistake is there to make you think more about that cross and it's meaning.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely Easter. xx
