First of The Year

Not content with painting at home we went to the beach hut and gave the front of it a couple of coats of  wood protection in a nice shade of blue/green. It really needed doing.
What with moving, illness, cold weather it was our first trip there this year. Had to have the first of these of course!

Thank you for all the comments about the photos yesterday, there are more to share on future posts - you have been warned!

  1. Sunshine, a sea view and an ice cream - what could be better? I dare say a lovely beach hut to relax in (after painting it!), a good book, a cuppa and your dearly beloved . . .

  3. Looking forward to more photos! What is better than a Beach Hut by the sea, sunshine and a melting ice-cream cone - just captures a truly British summer.

    1. We may not be able to keep it as the council want to increase the ground rent charges by a huge amount - very annoying to say the least

  7. You both deserve that ice cream !
With my absence from blog world, I had to catch up with your new blog here and I read through it over the weekend.
You seem to have found a really lovely and tranquil place to live.
wishing you and Col all the best.

  9. Luckily Sue the wind is blowing from the West today so you will not have had to endure a wind off the North Sea - sure you would enjoy that ice cream all the more for that.
