Still Waiting

I'm waiting for my mojo to return to get out of this flat feeling.

My get up and go has got up and gone, don't know where and why.

I'm sure I'll be back to normal soon.

Bit wet for the Olympics opening ceremony in Paris - I was reminded of the Queen and Prince Phillip for a Jubilee thing on the Thames when it poured with rain and the Duke was very ill afterwards. Hope all the sports men and women don't catch a chill.

Sue

  1. The flat feeling can be very grim can't it........no consolation but I'm just the same at the moment........waking up to pouring rain doesn't help x

  3. Living alone is not easy and motivation can take a nose dive. I hope your rest from writing will allow you time to re-evaluate and maybe make changes so you feel brighter and come back to us full of vim and vigour. Writing a blog every day must be quite hard so rest awhile. Sarah Browne

  4. I say to myself every day "you don't know how lucky you are" and "value each and every day". That soon puts things in perspective knowing that there are many I know who are no longer here. (I'm an energetic very-nearly-70 year old!)

  5. Thanks for posting, I've been thinking of you. Enjoy the Olympics. Hoping the fog clears soon, and things become brighter for you ๐Ÿ˜Š❤️๐Ÿ™

  6. I'm glad to see you "pulling yourself up by your bra straps" (as John would say), even if you don't feel great. Be gentle with yourself Sue. Sometimes that 'totally Blaa' feeling can be quite overwhelming, IMHO. I can only cope with it by trying to find one thing that's been OK, one tiny flower poking through the cracks in the pavement, until particle by particle, my Mojo returns. Hope tomorrow's a better day. XX Virginia

  8. Finding something that makes you happy is a good idea but not always easy to do. I think I probably comfort eat when I feel like you're feeling, pizza, bacon sarnies, Cornish pasties and so on. Not the best but 'hey-ho'. It heaved it down for the opening ceremony didn't it? Horrendous. I thought the best thing all night was Celine Dion. What a voice!

  10. It's awful when you feeling that isn't it. There are a lot of horrible and sad things happening in the world at the moment which doesn't help at all.

I also think a lot of us have BB and her family on our minds at this sad time for them, although expected, her news was very hard to hear, and I should imagine brings sad feelings back for you. Take care of yourself and try and immerse yourself in the sports you love (on television of course ... unless you're feeling energetic ๐Ÿ˜„), and avoid the news reports for a couple of days. I always find that helps me. And yes, that rain was awful for the opening ceremony last night. They did so well to keep up the atmosphere.

  11. Hope your mojo returns soon. I've been feeling a little flat too, I think I'm just tired though.

I didn't watch the opening ceremony but heard about the rain. I remember Prince Philip getting ill, sitting there in the rain at the Jubilee.

  13. I hope you're soon feeling better. I can't say I'm a fan of opening ceremonies, especially when they go on for four hours.

  15. I hope that feeling passes soon. Sometimes we have to let it sit with us for a wee while and when it passes, we can move on. Be gentle on yourself :-) xxx

  17. Sue, just wondering if you need a health check up. It maybe something more than the blues. There are tons of physical aliments that could bring on that feeling, like low blood sugar, iron levels, thyroid issues.

  18. Hope you soon feel brighter, personally the weather doesn't help, grey skies and wet. I'm enjoying the Olympics more than I thought, although I did switch over from the opening ceremony to watch Beechgrove and Gardener's World. Raining here AGAIN in Staffordshire but managed to get back lawn cut. Xx

  19. I don't think that this year's useless veg growing has helped any of us. I've had my greenhouse for about 18yrs, and it's always produced well. This year, I'm reduced to wondering why I bothered! It has been very disheartening all round.
Enjoy the sport for the next few weeks, and the weather is supposed to perk up as well. Take care.

  20. I am sorry to hear that you feel sad, but not surprising with all the bad news around. I always find a trip to the seaside makes me happy. Just a stroll on Penarth Pier and sitting with a cup of coffee watching the tide coming and going. ( We have big tides in South Wales.) Maybe treat yourself to a day out at Felixstowe ...is the big wheel back this year or Aldeburgh or Southwold. The sea air is always a tonic even if it is a grey day.

  21. Your get up and go has got up and gone.- what a brilliant way of expressing it.

Hope you are back in sorts soon.

    Enjoy the Olympics

  22. Feeling sad happens to us all occasionally. I listen to a meditation CD that states: Accept things exactly as they are because they are already here. We all wish things were different from time to time. Breath in and on exhale relax and let things go. Allow things to be exactly as they are. This thinking helps me and I hope you might find it useful too.

  23. I watched a bit of the olympics tonight and wondered if you would be enjoying some sport too. The ladies synchronised diving was good. Last olympics we caught the antics of the mountain bikers and the climbing walls so will keep a lookout for them. Unfortunately there is also a lot of tidying to be done in the garden if it is fine. Sending hugs.

  24. Be gentle and kind to yourself, Sue, and only do what you feel up to doing. Times like these happen sometimes and they do pass eventually (although it can feel like they last forever). Hugz, Mxx

  25. Sometimes this happens without a reason, other times we have a very obvious reason. Let's hope whatever has delivered you into this mire is gone soon.

  28. I hope you find a good time this day to cheer yourself up. I enjoy seeing birds in our lawn and roses that are blooming. I like being on the coast as well, per what Janet said. You're in my prayers ๐ŸŒท!
