Cards

I had some lovely cards for my birthday - thank you everyone - from as far as Canada, the west in Republic of Ireland, from a windy Scottish island,  Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk of course.

And some useful cards found at a boot sale this month - just 20p each.

Didn't bother with an advent calendar last year as I decided to buy something else - probably a book - instead but this huge one was 50p at the same boot sale as the cards so hasn't broken the bank.

Have to find somewhere to keep it safe for 8 months - it really is a biggie!

Back Tomorrow

  1. That is a bargain at 50p. It is quite pretty too. Only 8 months to go?? Oh dear.

  2. What a lovely picture on the Advent calendar. Perhaps hang it on the wall and enjoy it for the next 8 months.

  6. I love the picture on the Advent calendar, you could have it on your Winter mantlepiece display even before December. What a brilliant buy at just 50p. I need to go to some car boot sales this year, it's been an age since I've managed it.

  8. We buy our Christmas cards and wrapping paper in January when it's very cheap and they want the shelf space.

  11. Happy days after your birthday 🎂. I decided to make a card first a friend's wedding last week with photo that goes into a card. I'd been going through pictures lately and found a few that had cupcakes 🧁 at a friend's wedding a few years ago at the reception. I need to continue to do that for various celebrate days. Weather is still chilly here. Late week to be warmer and hope it stays that way for awhile.

  12. Belated Happy Birthday Sue,

That advent calendar reminds me a bit of the cottage in The Snowman - one of my Christmas favourites. I spent a fortune on a really bad quality VHS tape of the snowman a few years after it came out.
