Beginnings

Saturday and it was  Good to see Strictly Come Dancing  beginning. Well I think it's good anyway. It will give me something joyful to watch on Saturday nights from now to Christmas. I hadn't heard much about which celebs were on this year and found I knew a few names and faces.

Son and family were here for lunch on Sunday, I was going to go to their house but needed help to get the furniture back into the bedroom so they brought the dinner to cook here. Willow is beginning to have a little proper food, she wasn't quite sure about pureed sweet potato, but managed to get covered in it!

Monday and the work on the kitchen refurbishment is beginning, it's being done by a local man who advertises in the Parish Magazine,  a one man business and hopefully reliable.

I'm beginning  reading a new book having finished Enigma by Robert Harris, which I really enjoyed. It's been added to my books read list.

Thank you for comments over the last few days, apologies for not replying to many or commenting on other blogs - I'm hopeless!.

Back Tomorrow
Sue
(This whole post is really just an excuse for a photo of Willow!)

  1. As someone who always replies to all my comments I am quite envious of bloggers who have the ability not to although it puzzles me why some never reply to any I have to say, not that you fall into that category. Willow is looking nice. I recently read a Robert Harris at Gwil's recommendation. It was good.

    1. I can definitely recommend Enigma by Robert Harris. Set around Bletchley Park and Cambridge mid war years, a good story

    2. The one Gwil recommended was The Ghost. It was a story that we both paralleled to Blair and the murder of Dr David Kelly.

  2. First things first! It's a gorgeous photo of Willow who looks as though she'll keep you all entertained and fully occupied very shortly!
Your new beginnings sound interesting. How long do you expect the kitchen to take?
It must be wonderful to have finished your bedroom project and I assume you'll now be busy arranging clothes etc again.
Will we be allowed to see the end result?
I think you usually comment on comments very well especially when you've been so busy lately. Don't beat yourself up, you're anything but hopeless. Sue

  18. No excuse needed. Willow is delightful. Babies and tots always seem to manage to wear more of their food than they consume. Glad your family brought you Willow, dinner and some brawn :). Good luck with the kitchen work.

  19. I am delighted SCD is back on. Am a mega fan, but as ever only know some of the celebrities. I'm not a maternal type, but I do like babies when they get to that rounded, cuddly stage.

  23. Little Willow covered in food is a very lovely sight.
I'm glad to see Strictly back again, I love it. Bill and Violet watch the X Factor, which I'm not a fan of, so to have Strictly to watch instead suits me fine.
Good luck with the kitchen refit. Hope it all goes smoothly.

  28. Oh, I could just chew on those lovely chubby cheeks!
Has Willow got your eyes Sue? There's a definite similarity there!
Jacob, Florence and Willow are all obviously related though aren't they, is it the eyes?

  29. Actually, Sue, I just showed DH the pic of Willow, and he said "she's gorgeous, and the image of Sue"! So there you go, if DH can see a likeness, it's definitely there, he's not usually the most observant of folk!
