Cricket Heroes

Has anyone else just spent several hours channel hopping between tennis and cricket?

What an amazing finish in both but especially the cricket.

There MUST be a way to get cricket back on Terrestrial TV after this win.

Back Tomorrow

  1. Yes, that has been my afternoon too! What a tennis match, and the end of the cricket match was nail biting in the extreme. I do hope it can be brought to terrestrial TV in the future. I’d watch it! Now I’m just waiting for Poldark ...

  3. I gather from this that we wond the World Cup - do hope so. My family have been here all day and I know absolutely nothing about either the cricket or the tennis. I am relying on the ten o'clock news to fill me in.

  4. Hmm ... thought I sent a comment. Not here. Oh, well. Trying again because I forgot to say that a friend is staying in Wangford now. and sent me a photo of the church there. Couldn't remember if that was one you featured.

  5. Yes I have spent the day watching the cricket. What a nail biting finish!!! Who would have believed that there could be a draw after 100 overs and them again after the 2 super overs (who knew such a thing existed) and England could win by having scored more 4's! Well done England Cricket team.

  6. We don't get cricket here, I never did understand it. But the tennis match, oh my goodness. Federer is almost 39, will he go on or will he call it a day>?Novak Djokovic was a machine. I watched it with the sound off as the spousal unit was asleep and I didn't want to go out to the living room. It was an amazing match.

  11. Just the cricket for me and at the end I thought, 'never again!' My nerves! I was absolutely shattered and felt exhausted all evening.
Everyone is saying that the free-to-air broadcast will encourage young cricketers, just as the 2005 Ashes series did.

  13. I enjoyed the cricket this time because the up to date graphics explained some of the strategies about fielding and the scoring really well. I do miss John arnot's wonderful tones talking about silly mid off.lol
