A £1.50 Spend for Autumn

I went to a car boot sale last weekend, (nothing unusual in that!) but instead of finding things for the grandchildren or things for presents or something to save me money in the future, I wasted £1.50 on this. It's wooden and hand carved and very autumnal. It will be perfect for my 2019 Autumn mantel-piece .

Stuff to collect dust, whatever came over me? Ho Hum!

  7. Surrounding ourselves with things that lift our spirits, especially on glum autumn days, is never wasteful. It's an investment in your well-being!

  8. It's beautifully made, and brings joy. It cost less than a cup of coffee or a bunch of flowers. And you need feel no guilt at all when you decorate your mantel for Christmas, and pass it on to a CS. Enjoy - AND thank you that you have clearly given lots of us something to smile about this morning (when the news is so depressing)

  9. The toadstools are lovely, I would have brought it because my husband was a woodworker and I have several pieces of his and my brother is the same I have a lovely butterfly of his.

  13. It is quite beautiful though and you can pass it on when you feel you no longer want to keep it - and it is not plastic!

And it is so pretty - I would have bought that and I too am trying not to clutter again after a massive declutter.

  20. Sometimes it's just nice to have a treat! And for £1.50, I think it was well worth it! I like to have things that are a bit different, much more interesting than just buying from the shops.
